This new two-storey home in Vincentia was designed to make the most of its outlook, and the whole build is organised around capturing the view out to the bay.

From the street the house makes an immediate impression. A crisp white upper storey cantilevers out over a dark stone-clad base, with a timber-lined soffit and a long band of windows running the width of the facade. A solid timber entry door and a matching timber garage door warm the composition, while vertical cladding to the side elevation carries the same clean lines around the building.

Inside, the entry opens into a double-height void with a floating timber-tread staircase, a glass balustrade and a slimline timber handrail. High-level glazing brings light deep into the centre of the home.

The kitchen anchors the open-plan living area. A generous island bench sits alongside pale timber-look cabinetry, full-height storage, wall ovens and a mirrored splashback, with a pair of oversized pendants overhead. A dark feature fireplace stands beside it and gives the living space a focal point for the cooler months.

Upstairs, the covered terrace is where the house really delivers. The timber-lined ceiling runs from inside through to out, wide sliding doors open the living area right up, and the outlook carries over the treetops to the water beyond.

The bathroom follows the same restrained palette, with large-format tiles, a frameless glass shower and twin basins set on a timber-look vanity.
